Description

The Sakura Katana (桜), or “Cherry Blossom,” captures the essence of fleeting beauty and the noble impermanence revered in Japanese philosophy. Each element of this katana harmonizes elegance, symbolism, and precision craftsmanship.

Blade (刀身): Forged from T10 High Carbon Steel with a distinctive Dingzi Burning hamon, the blade exhibits a subtle flame-like pattern — a visual metaphor for life's impermanence, akin to cherry blossoms carried by the wind.

Guard (Tsuba 鍔): The openwork tsuba is adorned with hand-carved cherry blossoms in gold and silver tones, reflecting the transience and renewal of springtime in Japan. Each petal is individually detailed, symbolizing grace and purity.

Handle (Tsuka 柄): Wrapped in traditional black silk ito over white ray skin, the tsuka offers an elegant contrast of colors. The floral menuki beneath the wrap provide both balance and aesthetic harmony.
