Description

The Shinjūha Katana (真珠刃), meaning “Pearl Blade,” captures the serene beauty and hidden power of the ocean’s depths. Its name evokes both purity and resilience — qualities reflected in its hand-forged steel and refined craftsmanship.

Blade (刀身): Crafted from folded T10 steel and clay-tempered to reveal a natural hamon, the blade exhibits mesmerizing patterns (hada) reminiscent of shifting light on water. It offers the perfect harmony between cutting precision and flexibility.

Guard (Tsuba 鍔): The pure copper tsuba is engraved and gilded with gold, featuring a floral motif that symbolizes life, rebirth, and elegance — complementing the sword’s maritime grace.

Handle (Tsuka 柄): Wrapped in deep blue silk over white samegawa, the tsuka combines beauty and strength. The golden menuki hidden beneath the wrap provide subtle contrast and tactile balance.

Scabbard (Saya 鞘): The high-gloss black lacquer saya is adorned with a hand-painted peacock feather motif, a symbol of beauty and immortality, paired with a navy sageo cord to complete its luxurious finish.

The Shinjūha Katana is a blade for collectors and warriors alike — a symbol of purity, balance, and timeless elegance born from the spirit of the samurai and the calm strength of the sea.
